Shavathon 2018  – get LOUDin COLOUR – give HOPE

DONATE HERE

It’s time to get LOUD in COLOUR and give HOPE, by participating in CANSA Shavathon 2018!

Thank you to all the corporates, organisations and schools that have signed up thus far, to host a Shavathon event, from Monday, 26th February – Friday, 2nd March 2018. Now, please challenge your competition to host one too!

With our efficient Shavathon eShop and step by step implementation guide it’s easy to host a Shavathon event, even in your own backyard – consider hosting an event at home and invite friends, family and neighbours over to honour loved ones fighting cancer, or lost to cancer.

Please remember to share your pics and stories on social media platforms using the hashtag #CANSAShavathon or on the Shavathon website – we’d love to hear what has motivated you to shave, spray or donate your hair at Shavathon.

Why Host a CANSA Shavathon Event?

Shavathon provides the opportunity to give back, by raising funds for cancer patient care & support programmes through shaving or spraying, or by making a hair donation for wigs; and to show solidarity with family, friends, colleagues or fellow students battling cancer, or whose loved ones are fighting cancer. It’s also a time to remember and honour those who have lost the battle.

You can make a difference in your community through your Shavathon event, by raising funds to improve CANSA’s support to those affected by cancer.

There’s no time to lose – register your Shavathon event and order your products today!

Public Shavathon Events

If you can’t host your own event, we’d love for you to join us at public Shavathons at local shopping centres countrywide, on Saturday, 24th February 2018, and let your hair make a bold statement for you. Shave, spray or donate your hair in honour of cancer Survivors, raising funds for care & support programmes.

Those who donate hair over 25 cm in length will receive a special limited edition badge on the house, and other participation badges will be on sale for R5…

You are also welcome to offer your services as a Shavathon Volunteer at your local CANSA Care Centre’s event.

We Need Fundraising Champions – Raise Funds Online

Having your hair shaved, sprayed or donating it provides a wonderful opportunity for you to raise further awareness of cancer and funds for CANSA, by creating your own online fundraising page.

You can share your intention to participate in Shavathon with your contacts and ask them to make an online donation on your fundraising page to show their support. You will be enabling CANSA to continue their care & support to cancer Survivors (patients) by raising funds.

All online fundraisers will be automatically entered into a competition, where the top fundraisers stand a chance to win fantastic prizes – details to follow in our next eNewsletter.

Create Your Own Fundraising Page

We can’t wait to see how YOU choose to participate in Shavathon this year!
