Draft hypertension guideline April 21: comment on

It is important that civil society makes inputs if you want to ensure the quality of NCDs care in NHI or universal health coverage (UHC) and beyond.

Renal registry report: South Africa 2017

The South African Renal Registry collects, analyses and publishes information on the treatment of people with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) on behalf of the Renal Society of South Africa.

Most people on renal replacement treatment in South Africa receive
High blood pressure and diabetes combined cause 54% of ESRD, with unknown cause for 31.9%. There is no evidence of public sector growth in renal replacement therapy and it is below figures for 1994.
